Oh my word what strange weather we’ve been having this last few weeks.  It can’t make up its mind whether it wants to be hot, cold, wet, blisteringly dry.  In one day last week I think I experienced every season available in this country.  I started off with shorts and a hoodie when taking the dogs out for early walkies.  Not going too mad, the hoodie because it was still a little brisk for no sleeves. . .  but the shorts were to help my legs acclimatise in readiness for bronzing to go to the Med.  I look pretty daft, long fairly substantial donkey colour shorts, the sort that a scout leader may wear . . . with a nice bright sweater and hiking boots.  But firstly the field near home is always dew laden at any time of year, but with the weather being interchangeable, one has to take a chance and get dolled up for every eventuality.  Long may summer proceed along the more settled, hot way so we can enjoy the garden and woodland walkies with some certainty!
