Several positives have come out of the most recent lockdown restrictions. Instead of folk just getting totally fed up with it all, there have been strenuous efforts to make the most of the family time together, wherever that may be. The greatest change for some families has been the chanceto plan, shop, cook and eat together. Over the last twenty or so years, the sheer number of diversions available to family members has risen to such an extent that often folk in the same home don’t communicate in voice anymore – relying on text and pic messages via their phones, even when in the house at the same time. Now that a truly global pandemic has caused a change around in priorities, a cross generational coming together has really helped to make the home and garden the place to be. Let’s hope that when the latest restrictions asre lifted and socialising reurns, these new family enjoyments are cotinued, to become our own family traditions.
